FINALLY the 1st Chinese restaurant In Miami that I will return to!!! I was so excited that I enjoyed my food I had to bring my sister back to make sure I wasn't tripping... Or just hung over.... Their menu is extensive the building is far from fancy but the food was mmm mmm good. We ordered veggie fried rice, lo mein, sweet and sour shrimp, chicken and broccoli and some other items but everything was satisfying and reasonably priced. There is literally something on the menu for everyone which is impressive and the service is good and fast. She likes it!

This is the best Chinese food in North Miami Beach. I have only done take out, but these are a few of my favorites. BBQ Roast Pork & Wonton Noodle Soup BBQ Pork Orange Beef (Very spicy) Dry Stir Fried Beef Flat Noodles Shrimp and Walnut Sauce The couple of times I have tried to order the crispy pork, I was told that they did not have any that day. I'm still wanting to sample that as well as their peking duck.

This was a very pleasant experience. May was very delightful and friendly. Had the Clams in black bean sauce, delicious, baby bok choy, delicious, won ton soup could be best I've had, lobster in ginger scallion sauce delicious, roast pork and duck was very good. Our new favorite Chinese food place for sure. We love Silver Pond but it's a schlep from sunny isles up to lauderdale lakes. We asked for no MSG and did not detect any in the food and the food was still delicious. Highly recommend this place for your Chinese food cravings. At one point I think we were the only non chinese in the place, another very good sign.

I am not easily impressed but I was with King Palace. If you are looking for an authentic chinese food experience, I strongly suggest that you try this place. The service was the best chinese service I have ever had. The food- honestly, to D.I.E. for. So, we had the 1) Hot and Sour Soup (good), 2) Jelly Fish w/t Duck (totally recommend), 3) Short Ribs Steak which comes on a sizzling skillet (totally recommend) and 4) Walnut Shrimp (totally recommend also). If you are in the mood for amazing chinese food, come here. Definitely, try the "Jellyfish w/t Duck" (you can order it w/t other meats of your choice) and the "Short Ribs Steak" skillet- these 2 are ABSOLUTE MUSTS! You can find their menu here: southflorida.menupages.c…

this place is close to my house and definetly my choice for chinese food. There is a lot of variety and everything is always fresh. the staff is nice and the wait for food is not too long. if you are in search of authentic food it can definetly be found here. Tip: If you don'y know what something is, ask.

Was experiencing a hardcore craving for Chinese cuisine (which never happens) but we didn't feel like waiting at P.F. Changs so we came here based off the reviews. The service was pleasant and it seemed to have a bunch of regulars which it always a good sign. The inside is a bit dated but there's a big screen TV to keep you entertained if you wish. We started with the crab rangoon and a bowl of hot and sour soup which were really tasty. The hot and soup soup was unlike any I've ever had. SO flavorful but also very spicy. I like heat but it definitely clears up your sinuses. For the main meal I decided to go with their BBQ option of roast duck and pork. I am by no means fluent in Chinese cuisine but I found it a little underwhelming, and the meat itself wasn't very warm. I was slightly disappointed with my selection since I looked around and all the regulars appeared to be thoroughly enjoying some seafood dish with soup and vegetables. Buyers remorse I suppose. To be honest, most of the time the Yelp reviews never let me down so I will likely come back and give it another try.

Ordered 2 of the usual Chinese test dishes. You get a ok meal but it'll be overpriced. Maybe better as a takeout joint.

I've been coming here for years. Used to be my favorite place, and when people ask for good, authentic Chinese food, I'd recommend them to come here. Service isn't friendly but it is efficient. Even if I bring 10, 20 people there they handle it easily. So what happened? Last few visits, the food just isn't as good as before. What's worse, afterwards we all got this MSG numbness in our faces. Not good. If you are sensitive to MSG stay away. So major big stars off. Sure, the food is flavorful but that should be achieved without MSG. However, should you go, check out their blackboards, where they have some authentic and unusual dishes that changes regularly. Their BBQ is still the best in Miami, though if you travel an hour north, Gou Lou Cheong is definitely the best.

Last night was my third visit to King Palace. It was just as good as the first time. Their menu is extensive -- you can find items you'll never see anywhere else (i.e. barbecued pig intestines -- not that I'd order it). There are ducks drying, tanks with live lobsters and fish, large tables with lazy Susans, scurrying waitstaff (friendly and well-informed). I've had out of the ordinary dishes, such as duck feet, crispy ribs, and braised beef tendons. The portions are large and the prices are most reasonable. Reservations are suggested, but last night, we didn't wait and were seated immediately. We intend to return and try something different each time. We're planning on bringing a large party so we can all try and share different items.

I would say 3 stars because they microwave almost everything. For example i called an order of half roast duck extra crispy. Woman told me on the phone that they throw it in the microwave so impossible to get extra crispy..the pork fried rice is solid and exactly the kind youd get in NY...so is the wonton soup. Both crispy and roast pork that everyone is raving about leave much more to be desired. Actually crispy pork was gross the amount of oil dripping and even the meaty part taste wierd. Roast pork had microwave texture. Lots of MSG they use but thats expected if u want that nostalgic Chinese food youve been craving. Ok and the Walnut shrimp Was done really, really well! Maybe the best walnut shrimp ive had! The whole steamed fish was good but not as fresh tasting as one would expect considering i Met the fish in person and alive before he came to my plate. Explanation: farm raised tilapia..

Great and authentic Chinese food at a very, very reasonable price. Miami is not too famous for its asian foods but this place is really great. It has a big selection of Chinese flavour dishes. I suggest to come here before 7pm so that its not too busy

The tropical paradise known as Miami is seriously lacking in one thing - Cantonese style barbeque joints with ducks hanging in the window. Thankfully, King Palace fills the void. Roasted meats, soup noodles, and rice dishes are on the level of an average place in NY or Toronto, which means it is far and away better than anything else in South Florida. Beware of the waitress who kind of looks like a Cantonese Rosie O'Donnell She is extremely outspoken, and will veto any part of your order with which she disagrees. Her advice is usually spot on, and anyone who goes against her does so at their own peril; you don't want to make her unhappy.

It's a very decent authentic Chinese restaurant. It all depends on what you order that may please your palate, otherwise it's mediocre.. Would recommend trying it if you haven't

Great place! They give tea as courtesy. soup is great as appetizer or starter. We got fried rice. the place is good, the problem is that everything in the menu is in chinese, and although the menu is in English, it does not explain anything about the different dishes, which becomes a problem if you are not familiar with Chinese food.

4 star review because this is pretty much my go to place for my authentic Chinese food fix . The chef has changed from years ago it is much better now than before. Service is relatively clean, fast and friendly (especially for a Chinese restaurant lol). Bottom line its not the best Chinese restaurant in south florida but in north miami beach area I would say so. Recommendations: Peaking Duck (Must try!) Steamed tilapia Char Sui (any of the bar b cue) Wonton Noodle Soup Snow Pea Tips Seafood Combination Ma Po tofu

First time here. Popped in by myself after seeing a client nearby. Wonton soup was best ever had. Loved the eggroll. Had the roast bbq pork and duck combo. Need to bring more people so we can try more things. Will definitely be back.

Certainly the best Chinese I have had in a LONG while in Miami, actually I should say S. Florida. Came here for early bird Sunday dinner, and the place was really slammed. Two very large groups of Chinese only at the two largest tables in the place, GOOD SIGN. Luckily we snagged a table for 2 next to one of the large Chinese groups. The remainder of the clientele was a mixture of Miamians. There was not a single open table for the remainder of the meal. Let me also say this up front, cause it annoys me. Unless an Oriental restaurant specifically says "WE USE NO MSG" on their menu or signage, it is probably safe to assume that they use MSG. So people that take off stars in their ratings because a Chinese restaurant uses MSG is really quite absurd. Ask for NO MSG, if you don't want MSG. Besides the fact that it does clearly state on their menu and I quote: "Please Note Before Ordering Your Meal (Especially for those people who are on diets and health foods.) All dishes are cooked to order, therefore we can prepare all dishes to your specifications. If for any reason you can not eat certain ingredients such as cornstarch, M.S.G., oil, salt or sugar please let us know when ordering. Any order not listed can be served upon request. Please feel free to request for a host, hostess, or manager to assist you."...... SHEEESH! Now on to the meal, which consisted of: Pan Fried Dumplings.................MMMMMmmMMmmm! They were awesome. Large Bowl of Wonton Soup Hong Kong Style with a bowl of crispy fried Won Tons on the side. This is the way Won Ton soup should taste. If you ever have a doubt, order this and use it's distinctly Hong Kong like flavor to judge any other WonTon soup you might have, it was really superb. Won Tons in the soup are without a doubt homemade, you can taste it, I have also watched them hand making these won tons on one of my numerous visits here, so there is no doubt about it....and the chinese cabbage swimming around the bowl with the wontons, was the color of fresh bok choy, and the stalks were still crisp. Five Stars alone for the soup. For the main course had to go with the BBQ, & I could not decide between the crispy BBQ pork or the Xa Xui BBQ pork, so the hostess said why don't you do half & half, and I did. WOW is all I can say! Tastiest Chinese Char Siu I have had yet. BTW our hostesses were great, friendly, knowledgeable, and literally checked on us at least six times throughout the meal, and the place was busy. She asked me which pork I like better, and it was an honest toss-up. The crispy pork was the saltier and thicker, with that delectable cracklin' on the top, and the Barbequed Roast Pork was the sweeter, with that traditional reddish sweet Char Siu "Chinese Spare Ribs" flavor to the meat. She also brought us a side of Hoisin Sauce. This was really phenomenal Chinese BBQ pork, truly the best I have had. The Char Siu here is BETTER than Gou Lou Cheong in Lauderdale Lakes, I have had both, they also have a wider selection of BBQ, and you can of course sit down in here. It is also my opinion that if a Chinese restaurant can excel at roast pork, as pork is a huge component of really good chinese food, then they have got their major component ready to use in soups, fried rice and noodle dishes, and any other pork flavorings for any other dishes. King Palace Chinese BBQ has got this down perfectly, with both the pork and duck. As if that was not more than enough food, we also got an order of Bun xao kieu Singapore (Rice Noodles Singapore style) This was also just fantastic, with the flavors bursting of Curry, Tumeric, Chives, Tiger Prawns, shredded BBQ pork, red chili, and lime. Really great. Was totally stuffed, after devouring these delicacies, and can you believe, the hostesses took the remaining pork, and singapore noodles and rice, and presented us with enough remaining food for a take out order, honestly. I will be enjoying this tomorrow! Bottom line is, I really cannot say enough good things about my experience at this place. Finally a decent Chinese restaurant is alive and well in Miami, I never thought I would live to see the day, but this place is way more than just decent, it is now my go to place for Chinese. UPDATE: 06/12/13 Tried the Lobster with Green Scallions & Ginger Sauce from the "Specials" blackboard, OMFG awesome!!! Really delicious, the sauce is supreme, and the lobster is cut Chinese style, so there was a learning curve involved here, but I was able to extract all of the meat with chopsticks and the little lobster forks. DEFINITE MUST TRY! In addition to above also recommend: Dry stir fried egg noodles w/ soy sauce Crispy Pork Ribs Chinese Broccoli Sweet & Sour Shrimp Vegetable Lo Mein w/ extra broccoli Pork Lo Mein Shanghainese Pork Ribs Honey Garlic Chicken EGG ROLLS they are really delicious here. One of the few places I enjoyed eating an egg roll at.

Best Authentic Chinese in Miami ran by real Chinese people. ESP when they have these hanging thru the window: - roast duck - soy sauce chicken - crispy BBQ pork - xa xui BBQ pork If you go for dinner def do Fam style and get the whole fish steamed in ginger onions and soy sauce. It's really good. We got sea cucumber also which they prepared well. Some places just want to charge you a lot but quality is def worth it here. Lunch - get a white rice with some sort of meat like the soy sauce chicken or duck or BBQ pork. Won't be disappointed. Simple but tastes like Chinatown. Service - as good as any other Chinese rest. Avg at best but its the quality and authentic you're coming here for. Cme early or make reservations fr holidays-Easter, Xmas, Mother's Day etc.

I come to this restaurant for lunch and dinner. It's not a fancy place but hidden food finds like this counts. You might pass by this place while driving on Miami Gardens but its definitely a must try. It's really hard to find decent Chinese in my area but this place delivers! As expected, the menu is extensive but if you're a regular, you know exactly what to order and do not worry, food is always served piping hot. I normally pick from the lunch menu. This time I ordered the roasted pork (comes w/ fried rice, hot & sour soup, spring roll). I've been to other Chinese joints around the area but they don't prepare it the way this restaurant do...lightly sauced, little toasted and tasty! The hot & sour soup was piping hot and hearty. Since my lunch special was satisfying me, I had the audacity to order another entree...crispy pork ribs. I just couldn't resist :) OK... I know its a bit of an overload but was worth it cause it didn't matter, I took home whatever was left. Service is always polite and swift here...perfect for a quick lunch but you might have to take a nap cause for the little money you'll spend here...the portions are pretty huge! (Tip: They only except Visa or MC and cash of course)

The wife and I are glad we listened to the reviews. The food was great and the restaurant was clean. Also enough food on their dinner specials for two meals. Small staff is the only con but wait times were minimal. Great food but we didn't enjoy their egg rolls. Will come again.

My family and I absolutely LOVE this place. We're practically regulars. The food here is very authentic and I love how traditional their dishes are. Being Chinese, it's really hard to find a GOOD authentic /traditional place because majority prefer the typical fried rice, crab rangoon, egg rolls, etc. They have some of the best wontons here. My favorite dish here is the roasted duck & wonton flat noodles soup. Noodles are always fresh and the broth is so good. Even in the soup, the duck doesn't lose it's flavor. I love the white flat noodles. I prefer them over the traditional yellow noodles, but that is just as good too. One of my other favorite dishes here is the salt & pepper squid. It always comes out hot and crispy. All their hot pot dishes are good. Some BBQ Chinese restaurants serve their 'salty duck' on the somewhat cold side but they serve it warm here. Vegetables are always fresh and very green. They have a large number of delicious dishes that my family always orders but I can't keep track of all of them lol. The service here is not too consistent but our tea and rice bowl does get refilled eventually. It's a small restaurant actually. The parking lot is not big at all either. Sometimes we find ourselves parking in the shopping plaza next door and walking over -____-

Somehow I had gotten my rec's crossed and thought this was a place for Dim sum! Stopped in for lunch also looking for banquet's for chinese new year. There really was no dim sum there but ordered the steamed dumplings and Roast pork and Duck noodle soup! They were out of dumplings! I repeat! THEY WERE OUT OF DUMPLINGS! Just had the soup and it was fabulous!

Pretty solid food, I would give it 3 stars in most locations, but due to the lack of good chinese food in Miami this gets a 4. I will be back. The soups are excellent, both the hot and sour and the wonton soup. The eggrolls were subpar, I would pass on them. I got the eggplant and chicken in szchezuan sauce, it was similar to a hot pot sauce and very well done. The hot pots look very good, I will be getting one next time. The prices are good, and the restaurant was about 80% filled with Chinese patrons. Overall pretty authentic and tasty.

I've been coming to this restaurant since I was 3 years old and majority Chinese new year with my family for dinner, even family gatherings. It's a great authentic Chinese place if you know what to order and not some simple American-Chinese dish. The area may not be the greatest place to look for a great restaurant, but if you're looking for Chinese food then this is your place!

This is an authentic Chinese restaurant, that is the kind that you will see if you visit NY's, or San Francisco's Chinatown. Don't let the dead ducks hanging by the front door deter you. If you want REAL Chinese food, with REAL flavor, THIS is the place! The Hot & Sour Soup was spicy, but it was the way I remember it from NYC's Chinatown, full of vegetables, pork, & beef slivers. So good! The Shrimp with Prawn Sauce (lobster sauce) was fabulous, the shrimp were colossal size, yet tender & succulent. The shrimp & asparagus special was amazing, as was the thin pork chops in this fabulous red sauce. The roast pork fried rice was yummy, with huge pieces of roast pork. One dish was better than the last. Would definitely go back next time we visit from Florida's west coast! Take a bow!

A little difficult to find at first on my trusty GPS! My usual litmus test for all chinese restaurants is the Hot and Sour soup. Ordered, tasted it, and it would be considered the commercial variety of Hot and Sour.. No much in it and dark without that yellowish look to it. Strike 1! Ordered the next test dish.. Clams with Black Bean sauce. This dish was really fantastic.... Nice little little neck clams and a really, really, tasty sauce. I prefer a little bit of orange squeezed into the sauce. Will request that next time. Farewell, and eat well!

This is one restaurant that makes everything they offer great. Very authentic Chinese food. I mainly come here for their noodle soups or other noodle dishes but I've also had their lunch specials (traditional rice, soup, egg roll, meat). The staff might not be super friendly and some understand only the menu, but you won't mind this once you taste their food. This place is always crowded for lunch so arrive right before 12. The restaurant itself is nothing to look at. The first time you walk in you might be tempted to turn around: you are greeted with fish tanks with tilapia and lobsters, and a glass hot display with roasted ducks hanging from their necks. Once you get past this, you notice that the carpet has seen way better days. Once you are at the table, you are presented with some delicious complimentary hot tea and a menu. The staff is quick to take your order and the kitchen doesn't take long at all. There are a couple of big round tables with a lazy susan in the middle which looks fun if you go in a group. For the longest, I kept ordering the same exact thing: bbq pork and roasted duck with rice noodles soup. It is so delicious that I was afraid of wasting a visit by taking a chance on something else. I then got over that and started ordering different things. I have yet to be disappointed in my selections. Though it might not be the cheapest Chinese restaurant in the area, I doubt that it can be topped by any around.

OVERRATED! I had high expectations because of a coworker's recommendation and all the reviews, but we were disappointed. We ordered: Roast duck/pork/chicken combo, general Tao chicken, pork fried rice, hot n sour soup and egg rolls. The good: fried rice was loaded with pork and was not greasy or loaded with sodium, roast pork was good, hot n sour soup was pretty good and spicy. The bad: General Tao chicken was overcooked and wasn't even enough to fill half the container (not worth $13 by a long shot), duck was anorexic (where's the meat?) and lastly the the price, $45 was not worth it. The places we normally go don't cost as much and we have food left over, not this meal.

I recently stopped by this restaurant for lunch. I had heard a lot of great things and the restaurant didn't disappoint either. This a traditional Chinese restaurant (though if you must have some chicken wings and shrimp fried rice, they do that too) with a lot of really interesting dishes. The duck noodle soup was astoundingly good, and for 8.99 ate like a meal. The soup had lots of deliciously roasted duck in a really flavorful broth with vegetables and egg noodles. I also had the Shanghainese (pretty sure that's how it's named in the menu) Ribs. These were spare ribs in a vinegar sauce, which was sweet and sour. They were very very good. I can't wait to come back and try other dishes here.

This is authentic as you can get for Chinese food in South Florida. It rivals a small restaurant I ate at in Chinatown in San Fran. The soups are phenomenal and the roasted duck and pork is out of this world. They serve hot tea upon arrival - how can you go wrong!

I have come to King Palace many times not because I want to but it's because my family makes me go. The service is always just okay. It's hard to get my water refilled. Food is okay, not outstanding. The duck that we ordered the other night was kind of dry. There's a big gigantic TV in the restaurant. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not, but it seems like everyone in there was staring at the TV instead of talking to their family and friends. I have had better authentic chinese food else where.

I have never in my life experienced atrocious customer service but I did at this establishment and it compelled me to write my first yelp review. My fiancé and I went there to have a meal- it was mediocre at best. Anyhow I ended up leaving my bag with my wallet, glasses etc. I went to the restaurant at 10:30 the next morning and saw a few employees there. They flat out refused to help me! They even went as far as closing their doors in my face! After threatening to call the cops, a manager appeared and provided my bag and its contents. NEVER go here! The employees make me sick to my stomach.

This was me second trip here for some authentic Chinese food. My mistake was coming on Xmas eve. Total shitshow. Despite that, we had a table of eight and tried many diff things. I wanted the duck wonton noodle soup, but they ran out of duck. Yep. I asked if they could sub chicken for the duck and it was amazing!!!! My mom had BBQ pork with snow peas. Yum!! Dad had egg foo yung. He loved it. The kids loved the water tanks near the entrance which contained fresh seafood like lobster and crab. One more thing - don't bother making a reservation. They do not honor it.

One component of finding a good Chinese restaurant is: if there are other Asians dining there...this has been the case since stumbling in there starting back in 04 now 2013. It's not a fancy restaurant but what it lacks in décor it kicks butt in quality and authenticity. The wait staff seems a little disinterested but who cares the food is what I come for. Being from the NE I took good Chinese for granted not so down here but this place is my go to for a good meal.

king Palace is as good and authentic as it gets in South Florida/Miami. they have gourmet dishes you can not find in most local restaurants. BBQ duck and chicken, fresh sea food swimming in the tank. it is better to go with friends so you can share many dishes. try the shrimp with glazed walnuts. wow. that being said, we are in Miami. if you are used to the food in china town in NY, SF, Vancouver, etc. well try not to compare and just enjoy.

i never been impressed with a chineese restaurant in miami area . some are not that bad . my husband and one of my boys as long as it is chinese ... they will even go for the chinese at the mall foodcourt .in our recent stayed in sunny isle north miami beach we trully found an authentic chinese hidden treasure. king palace was trully a true experience of different and delicious variety of flavors rarely distinguished in what the great mayority of southflorida chinese restaurants have to offered . i had one of the most delicious peking duck of my life .( very close to the one they served in the well reknowned shun lee palace. in new york ) the wonton soup was to "die for".i never thought sweet and sour chicken could ever had a refined sauce ."for me that dish tasted the same everywhere " but not here guys! if you are around the area dont think it twice and if you leave a little far its also worth the drive . cant forget to mentioned the warmed and friendly service you will find . if you happend to have the venezuelan / chinese highly educated waiter then you really will have a one of a kind experience alltogether . enjoy! madeleine miami fla

my bf and I came to fl for vacation, it was about 9pm and we were very hungry so we stopped by to order takeout. we ordered a bbq spareribs/duck combo on rice, chef and hostess told us that they were short on duck and chef decided upon himself to give us more spareribs instead of a different substitute for the duck. I wanted to cancel order then hostess got the manager involved. She "claimed" that the meat was the correct portion and even showed it to us, when we clearly saw a full plate of spareribs and 4 tiny pieces of duck. we were very disappointed we were not informed before we ordered that our order would not be fulfilled. the manager had a bad attitude. she was not honest and claimed the order was correct when the hostess and chef told us they didn't have enough duck. after going back and forth, I didn't want to waste my time so we took the order and left. hostess didn't even give us forks n spoons. did she think we were going to eat with our hands?! bad costumer service, rude, dishonest, employees were smoking right outside the restaurant. I will not go back again!!!!!!

Good. Solid amount of food for the price however I was caught slightly off-guard by the portion size. Servers didn't help too much although they didnt do anything bad they didn't do anything above the ordinary as well. Maybe if you live in the neighborhood worth going to but I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to eat here but happen to be in the hood like myself doesnt hurt to stop in. But also bring a jacket cause its very cold inside, had to grab my hoodie from the car.

If you are at all familiar with the area of town you already know that every other store/ market is some sort of Asian market or (cheap) little Asian restaurant. My boyfriend's office is about 20 seconds down the road, we were hungry and since I wasnt sure where to go, I used my handy dandy Yelp application. After reading the reviews and checking out the photos, King Palace was the obvious winner! Their Roast Pork Noodle Soup was absolutely deee-licious! Their menu is huge and there are at least a handful of things we're dying to come back for. Most tables have a lazy susan to ease the sharing of dishes. Thank you Yelp for helping us find this truly hidden gem!

My quest for good Chinese food started when I left my home country of Uganda back in 1998. Over 10 years later I have finally found the spot. THe food must be good because when I got there around 9p they had run out of chicken and duck!!! Either way the food was great. From the appetizers to the main course everything was delightfully tasty and service was fast and precise :) I highly recommend this spot to anyone in the area looking for great chinese.

NEWS UPDATE! RECENT CHANGED OF OWNERSHIP, AND I HAVEN'T TRIED YET. 7/2012. Looky Looky Here. If your searching for a Good Chinese restaurant in Dade county, STOP!. There are 177 Chinese restaurant being reviewed on Yelp. Why? When 170 are all the same. Panda Express is #19, God Help us all. When the Top rated Chinese restaurant on Yelp is Called "Jamaica Kitchen"!! Houston, we Have a Problem..Mon! I just wish people would consider yelping when its relevant. Not when someone give you a free bag of fried wontons for ordering $40.........("oh, they are so nice." Save it for your diary) Egg Rolls, Egg Foo Young, Egg drop Soup, Chow Mein, Chop Suey, Pepper Steak, Anything that starts with a ranking member of the Chinese Army, and my favorite "Crab Rangoon". These are not Cantonese/Chinese Food. They were invented to satisfy the American palates. I guess it would taste OK if they were done correctly, with some creativity and passion......Or if I were stoned out of my mind. Trust me, No one eats this stuff in Hong Kong or Guangzhou, which is where the true Cantonese Cuisine is from. Let me not offend any Yelp members out there, If you like your egg drop soup, crab Rangoon, pepper steak combo. by all means, continue to enjoy it. But if you really want to experience real authentic Chinese Food, Get your passport ready. Thanks for your patience, I had to get rid of some bottled up emotions. Its just so sad to see what its known or not known about Authentic Chinese Cuisine. Especially in Miami. Lets start by me saying, this is the only game in town when it comes to Authentic Cantonese Food. Having said that...By No Means this is the Best Cantonese Food. As good as its going to get In Dade County. Chinese food are meant to be shared, try to go with a group of friends & family members. Head straight to the Chef's Specialties, the owners make these dishes. The hired help, once a computer programmer, makes the American/Chinese dishes. Some Menu items to consider: #719 BBQ combination.(this is what they have hanging on the window when you walk in. IF you like meat,...Stop laughing ladies.... then this is a must order) #757 Beef with flat rice noodles. ( my kids favorite) #801 #802 Shredded Chicken or Duck with Jelly Fish. (yes, Jelly Fish, Try it, You may like it) #812 Stir Fried Silver Fish. #832 Sliced Conch With Yellow Chives #882 Short Ribs steak Hot Pot #883 Fish Ball & Bean Curd hot pot (this is a must try) #885 Oyster with Ginger scallion Hot Pot #610 Stir Fried Snow peas tips with garlic *Anything Salt & Pepper (Scallops, Shrimp, Ribs,Crab is awesome, its not on the menu, but you can request it. they will know) *Fried Pig's Intestine. (also not on the menu) Service is actually pretty good considering other Chinese spots. I liked what Bernard A. said about the waitresses, spot on! I've been coming here for over 10 years now and they have always provided me with good service. Decor is your typical Family owned establishments. One Negative, Location is less than desirable. undesirable if truth be told.

I am a soup lover and when I need a soup fix I head straight to King Palace. It's in a kinda dodgy part of North Miami and it's easily missed because it's so unassuming and blends in with the dreary landscape. King Palace is far from fancy. Don't go there expecting great decor and fine ambiance. Just go for the soup. Typically I'll meet up with my partner in crime for a nice soup lunch. She either gets Roast Pork Noodle Soup or Roast Duck Noodle Soup. I stick to my Shrimp Wonton Noodle Soup. There are many choices on the menu and they even have Congee if that's your thing. Oh! The egg rolls are so damn tasty, I can't believe I almost forgot to mention them. When you're ordering your soup go for the ramen egg noodles. I tried the flat noodles and it altered the taste of my soup. The staff are very friendly and attentive. If you ever get that soup craving I highly recommend you check this place out. You can tell the food is authentic and good because the majority of the clientele are Chinese.

3.5 STARS Ever since hong kong noodles closed, i have been looking for a good/authentic chinese food place. I got a tip from one of my friends to go check this place out. I tried the crispy pork, some dumplings, and congee (not all chinese places do congee- one of my fav's). It's not as close to the beach as i would like, but not too far either. I did enjoy all the offerings... and it is very good. the congee was nice and the crispy pork was yummy as well! They also have fish tanks there with live fish and peeking duck in the warmer. Will be back to try those.

For like minded foodies, King Palace Chinese is a gastronomic adventure. Authentic, fresh, delicious. A most fortunate find. I would highly recommend this gem to anyone (although those seeking a ketchup and miso glazed chicken combo with a side order of crab rangoons, would do best at their local food court). Open minds and open palettes eat your heart out. I had the following and enjoyed every bite: Shrimp and Pork Wonton Soup (Layers upon layers of flavor, delicate and hearty wontons) Salt and Pepper Prawns with their shells on (Nobody likes a naked prawn) Peking Duck and Crunchy Pork Combo (The salty pork belly, perfectly crisp on top, melted in my mouth faster than I could say "swinetastic") Ice cold Tsingtao (2 bottles, because Mondays are just so damn monday-ee)

This place is great for real Chinese food. Whatever real Chinese food is. I'm not even sure. But their noodle soups are great. And all the classic dishes are as well. They serve hot tea when you sit down. They offer a very extensive menu. As previously stated, the male servers are way worse than the female servers. The menu is reasonably priced and portions are perfecto.

Got the roast pork and duck combo. LOVED IT. My girlfriend got something dumb and didn't care for it much but who cares what she thinks. Service was friendly.

Pretty good food. Pretty good service. It's always a treat to go to King Palace. It's definitely a family restaurant and the mix of patrons makes this an interesting place. You always hear Chinese being spoken by a good percentage of the patrons...a good sign in my book. The waitresses are sassy, friendly and attentive. Much more so than the waiters. Still, the service is never unfriendly. The food is cooked fresh to order. It's slowly becoming a regular spot for us.

I am very happy with the flavor and selection of items here. Everything was very good. We just had a quick bite but I know that this will definitely be a keeper in my foodie diary. This is real authentic Chinese food people!

Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, but the mapo tofu was just awful. It was not spicy and it had little squares of previously frozed peas and carrots. The duck was really greasy and the skin wasn't crispy at all. The wonton soup was good. If I get desparate for Chinese food, I'll come back just for the soup.

I have a buddy who commutes between Miami and New Jersey and spends equal time in either city. When in NJ he travels to Manhattan and claims he's become quite the Chinese food expert, he also claims that miami just does not have real good Chinese restaurants and though I am no expert in Cantonese cuisine by any stretch I have also pretty much eaten at many Chinese joints from the very swanky to holes in the wall and now can tell you that King Palace a very unassuming little eatery with its entrance oddly not facing the street is a base hit. Like I stated I'm no expert but I know what taste good and this place has good Chinese fare with great portions and reasonable prices. Noodles, roast pork, duck and all their rice dishes are great. Soon as you walk in you'll see the roast ducks hanging in their plexiglass enclosures. It seems to be very traditional type dishes not seen at other places and very friendly wait staff. Try it!

Great place for authentic Chinese BBQ... otherwise know as Hong Kong express lunch ..depending on what you order. The BBQ is great, as well as items such as noodle soups, salt & pepper items and pan fried noodles. I always compliment my meal with a side of chinese vegetables stir fried with garlic... yummy!

  • Elissa M.

We spend a lot of time in Hong Kong and China. The food at King Palace is as authentic as it gets. When our mainland Chinese suppliers come to visit, this is the place they want to go! So, do yourself a favor and stay away from the Kung Pao chicken or Moo Goo Gai Pan. These are "made for American" dishes that you can get anywhere. Instead, look around to see what other diners are eating, or ask the server to suggest native Cantonese dishes. Check out their daily specials. The lobster with black bean sauce is superb.

  • L. R.

The owner is Chinese by way of Venezuela. The food is as dependable as it gets. I love this place and so does everyone that I've ever taken there. Whatever you decide to get, it will be good. This place has serious, simple, and fresh food. The people who serve and eat here are mostly Asian. They also have multiple, large tanks for fish and other seafood. As you walk in you see the days specials hanging on hooks. As we all know, these are the telltale signs of an excellent Chinese restaurant! My favorite soup of all time was once a well made won ton. But one taste of their Hong Kong won ton soup and that changed forever. These people make their own dumplings. You can taste the wine, and see the shrimp and pork chunks. It's so simple that it's actually beautiful. You think you're only going to get a nice little soup, but you wind up with so much more. I love my soup with a little of the red vinegar on the table and the hot chilies in oil. YUM!! This place has the only lamb on the planet that I like. No gamy aftertaste to speak of. It's great. The roast pork skin is a huge crispy pork skin complete with fat, and pork meat. If you like pork rinds as much as I do, I suggest you get it. It comes to you on a large bed of rice to soak up the juices. The Singapore noodles are excellent. It's just spicy enough to be great without burning you out. When you think vegetable ALWAYS go for their snow pea tips. They are stir fried very simply with garlic. I've had their intestine, tongue, and tripe platter. I love organ meats. Yum!!! For two people you will spend about $25. For three about 35$. I always find it a good deal.

    (5)
  • Mandy H.

This place has really good Chinese seafood dishes. Right now they have dinner special. they have claims with black bean sauce for $6.99... and some other dishes that is on sale. I loved ordering stir fried snow pea tips with garlic ... they are so fresh and tasty.

  • Aris F.

Their barbecued pork deserves 5 stars. You know it's damn good when you find yourself waking up at 3am and heading straight to the refrigerator to wolf down the few scraps left over from dinner -- and they are still delicious even though they are ice cold! 4 stars overall though because some of their other food, like some of their noodles dishes, is filling but not particularly tasty.

    (4)
  • Wendy H.

You know this place is good when its the only place your Asian parents will eat when they're in town. For Miami standards, this is the most authentic Chinese food in town. I enjoyed their crispy fried fish dish and their BBQ pork. Both are well flavored and are similar to those you can find at other major US cities cities like San Francisco and New York. For a low-key, no-frills Chinese restaurant, I think this place stands above the rest for quality grub.

  • chris h.

Very good authentic Chinese food. As good as you can get in Miami area. Everything we tried tasted very fresh. The fish was fresh from the fish tank. Tofu and vegetables were all very fresh. Service is friendly and efficient. So glad we found this place. The 5 star rating is for the food. 4 star for the service. 2 1/2 star for the decor.

i have been a regular customer for years and i must say this place has not changed one bit ever since i started coming 4 years ago. the food, the waiters, and the whole atmosphere really provides a comfortable dining experience. The seafood and bbq roast pork and duck, the signature dishes there, really live up to my expectations. Aside from those, there are other dishes displayed on a huge white board hanging on the walls. These dishes are much more traditional and unique than your average fried rice and chicken. The service is also pleasant. The waiters and waitresses are always on watch to satisfy your every needs. My teapot or water and rice are always refilled right away. They have great manners and provides excellent services. The only con is that the place can get really packed during lunch and dinner time and you sometimes have to wait about 30 minutes before being seated. But judging off the busy atmosphere, it's a really good restaurant that many people choose to come dine in. I would recommend it to families or even if you're just eating there alone!

    (5)
  • Tony Y.

This place was very average at best and pricing is rather high for such mediocrity. If this is one of the best Miami has to offer, it can use some serious importing of quality immigrant chefs who knows their Chinese cooking. This place is a throwback to the 1980's when choices were few and many local Chinese simply had to "settle" if you know what I mean.

  • Jim A.

Have eaten lunch and dinner here recently, and I haven't had better chinese food in south florida. Wonderful Hong Kong won ton soup especially, and the barbecued pork was outstanding!

  • Paul H.

This place has many authentic dishes. I ordered the Fish Maw soup (~$10) with Long Clams in Black Bean Sauce (!$14) and Salt & Pepper Pork with Jalapenos (~$13). The soup was good but the clams was drenched in too much oyster sauce (too salty!). The pork was delicious but my girlfriend thought it was overcooked. This dish is tough to prepare, plus pork needs to be cooked well like poultry. Service was prompt in the beginning but never came back to check up on how the dishes were or if we wanted any water. I had to hunt down another server to ask for the check and take-out box. The cons outweigh the pros, therefore won't recommend this to anyone.

I come here all the time. It's nice that you can get authentic Chinese and also Americanized dishes, on one menu. You can get adventurous and try jellyfish, marinated pig intestine, and dry sauteed frog. Or you can stick to chow mein and egg rolls, if that's what you like. Go with a big group. You want to try the BBQ meats, some noodle dish, soup, and some seafood fresh from the tank. One of the waitresses will start telling you what to order once she gets to know you. Listen to her, she hasn't been wrong yet. Recently I stopped eating meat, after my second visit the waitress asked if I'm vegetarian now. She approved heartily and started recommending things not on the menu. Like most Chinese restaurants, its easy to order meat free, and if you ask, they are willing to make just about any combination you want - just ask.

Their steamed soup that comes in an individual serving was as good as my favorite 5 star 4 $ restaurant in Hong Kong. I was really impressed... not many Chinese places does the individual steamed soups and you can taste its been cooking for hours. We also had the clams and soft shell crab and everything was good at a very good price. 25 bucks for 2 of us. They have a ton of variety too from frog legs to congee so I'll definitely be back to try more.

not the highest quality stuff, but fills a need (for a quick cantonese bbq place in miami) most of the time you need to head up to lauderhill to find this Roast duck on rice $6.95 the gai-lan kinda chewy, duck not as succulent, but tastes fine also had the shrimp wonton soup, straight forward good lots of good stuff on the menu like roast pork, congee, chef specials, hot pots

Went with a friend from outside town, she loved it. We asked for the Home Fried Rice ( huge portion) that was very generous with the shrimps and chicken, as well as vegetables. We also got the shrimp Wontan soup, marvelous. Prices are reasonable. Will go back.

The best chinese roast pork in the area. It's not too sweet, always tender, always great. The orange beef if fantastic, unlike other places. Check the boards for the specials- lots of great seasonal vegetables available. Great soups also. A wonderful dining experience that will leave you wanting to go back again and try some more excellent dishes.

Charging prices like they are the only Chinese restaurant in the USA. Other top restaurants like China Pavillion on pines blvd better food plus dim sum and almost half the price Silver Pond same style food not cheap but not crazy. Hong Kong City BBQ just to name a few. This restaurant is in a very bad neighborhood, so how do you expect even chinese people to pay those prices. $14.00 for chow fun is a littel nuts. but thats just the beginning. The average price is around $23.00 No water served unless asked. Not upscale at all, just an old building with old restaurant, that was always too expensive. Now it is very easy to park! Getting a table was simple. No wait anymore. It was always crowded, now the lot is empty. If they were in Southbeach I could see those prices but they are nuts. Same dirty old restaurant with Ritz Carlton Pricing . Poor service unless your chinese. Just saying...

I'm from the bay area and lived in Los Angeles. So my standards for chinese food is quite high. If this restaurant were in those areas, I'd probably give it a 3, but I'm giving this place 5 stars because it is by far the best chinese restaurant I've had since moving to Miami. I always go here or silver pond (a bit far) for my chinese food. Great chinese BBQ here.

Be careful of this restaurant, there is complot between the staff inside the restaurant and thieves outside, it seems somebody, a young male server i believe, give information about your car and let the thieves approach to the car and steal everything they can from the car while you are dining! This is horrible, they stole all they could from my car, my boyfriend went to the Chinese restaurant across, then it seemed that they knew he was the owner as soon he walked out, they went away, he approached to the car but it was too late, staff member said they have cameras, as soon the police arrived they said that the cameras didn't work, and the young guy that pretended that he was helping us simple disappeared, he also said he was going to look around to see if he see something weird around and took the car and left super fast after we said the police was coming, he came back saying he didn't see anyboby around, police arrived and he simply never came back to talk to us or help the police with information. Police of course didn't do anything either because they can't ask to check the cameras because it private property! They said it is not the first time it happens. So be careful of this restaurant. I wouldn't trust them. I will never come back. Staff didn't even care

Love this place. The soy sauce noodles take me back to my childhood growing up on the wild plains if Hong Kong* *That last bit is not necessarily true. I grew up in England but would only eat "plain noodle", much to the consternation of my Chinese father each time we would head to a China Town restaurant. King Palace do do a great version of it

I have been looking for a legit authentic Chinese resturant and this place was the One! I'm a noodle freak and all I can say is wooooow! Awesome selection for noodles. The soy sauce noodle was the best. I also ate BBQ pork and roasted duck. It was pure deliciousness! I see myself come back here plenty of times. The staff are very friendly and everyone that eats there are chinese. I feel like I'm in an actual Chinese resturant in china. I'm in love with this place would definitely recommend!!!

It's incredible to see that this restaurant has a fairly high rating. I went to this restaurant about 3 weeks ago based on the reviews, excited to purchase food from a highly recommended restaurant as per the yelp comments. My family and I purchased roast pork lo mein, chicken wings, spare ribs, egg rolls, and white rice... The only item tat I ordered that was ok was the white rice :( the meat was extremely dried and tough and smelly. We spent over $30 at this place and would've preferred to have purchased food from McDonald's or BK everyday for a week straight than to ever order food from this place. I'm just highly disappointed and will NEVER EVER spend my money here again! Just gross!

I've been getting food from this place for a long long time. I always get the roasted duck with rice all the time and once in a while I order the Wonton noodle soup. The roasted duck is very flavorful and juicy. That's one dish I'll always finish. Their wonton noodle soups are awesome. Besides these dishes they serve plenty of other Chinese dishes that are worth trying.

This is the best Cantonese restaurant in Miami Fort Lauderdale area hands-down! I've lived in Hong Kong for three years so I do know what I'm talking about. Try their steamed sea bass. If you're coming for kung pow chicken, orange chicken, and fried rice this place is not for you, go somewhere else. If you want salt and pepper soft shell crab with real Chinese greens, come here!

The best Chinese that I've found in South Florida so far (I worked at a Chinese restaurant for 4 yrs when I was a teen....an excellent one too, I'm SUPER picky about Chinese food!!) The fact that its always packed with Chinese families helps :) I suggest take out only, when I ate there once the food wasn't as flavorful for some reason, and they wouldn't let me get the Hong Kong style wonton soup(I highly suggest...generous portion of shrimp filled wontons with Chinese broccoli in a very flavorful broth) for one, I had to order a large bowl, eat what I could and take the rest to go. And, although Im Asian....im not Chinese and it seems as though our server wasnt as attentive to our party as he was to the large tables of Chinese folk....Their pork fried rice (Togo) is delicious and FULL of pork, so much that I ask them to make mine with less! The egg rolls are good too! So far everything I've tried (take out) is VERY good!!!

By far and away the BEST Chinese restaurant in Miami. Makes me think of New York Chinatown. Great menu selection with something for everyone. They serve authentic Chinese dishes you do not see at other restaurants. Food is fresh. Lots Oriental people frequent the place which validates the food's authenticity. Locals know. Huge soup dishes. I love their fresh veggie dishes. Always have the pork over rice. Singapore noodles to die for. Great dumplings for an appetizer. Generous portions. They used to be cheaper and considered it a great bargain price wise. Now I consider it pricey so I don't frequent this restaurant as much as in the past. But I recommend visiting this establishment. You won't be disappointed.

The food and the service was not as good as it could have been I ordered the BBQ combo. Witch came cold and mostly fat that I couldn't eat , but from the flavor of the parts I did eat I could tell it was fresh even the white rice had a good flavor , I asked the server for some prune sauce to put on the duck , instead of getting it she said she already put it on and walked away ... I'm still leaving 4 stars on account of I had some of my kids chicken chow mein it was awesome.... I'll come back again and try a different meal

Roasted Pork came out barely warm. The Chinese broccoli with garlic was good and the general tso's was not that good. The wifey said that the pan fried seafood was not good at all. The noodles were burnt black and there was not enough sauce to cover the noodles. Some of the general tso were really hot and other pieces were really cold, meaning it was microwaved. Meh. Being from the New York area and having Chinese food here we have been extremely disappointed. We told the waiter about our food and it seemed like he knew what we were talking about and said sorry. Do not waste your money here.

This place feels like a piece of home back in China even though I've never been to China and I'm not even Chinese. This place is tops. Legit Chinese fare in North Miami Beach. Don't let the outside of the building or all the edible animals that greet you as you enter this establishment scare you away.

Great original Chinese food! Love the classics, special fried rice, sweet and sorus and the ribs. Only four stars because the place is not inviting at all to eat in and kind of dirty and they don't have delivery to our area which is pretty close, but perfect for take out and calling ahead makes it really fast! Our to go place for Chinese.

I lived in the NMB/Aventura area for a really long time and I can't believe I never noticed this restaurant! its a hidden gem... even though its located in a shady corner right on 163rd St. its a big surprise to walk in and enjoy this little secret place. Inside the restaurant as soon as you go in they have a big fish tank with different kinds of live fish, lobster and crabs, that they use to prepare their daily recipes. In their menu they have a huge variety of different dishes and also a special menu for lunch and dinner served on certain hours, I ordered from the Dinner Special and it comes with a soup, an egg roll, a choice of rice and meat. The portions are really good. I had the Wonton soup.......I mean the best wonton soup I've eaten in a very long time, the fried rice and the Kung po shrimp, everything was delicious. I want to go back and try their Lobster Special, the Crab and the Peking Duck...I saw everyone ordering them and they looked amazing.

We had BBQ combination (pork, duck, chicken) , spicy beef, and water spinach with bean paste. They are all delicious! The spicy beef looks scary because there are so many red peppers and spicy oil floating on the top of the soup ( you r not supposed to have the soup) , but if you just eat the beef, it doesn't taste as spicy as it looks like. The pork BBQ is my favorite. I couldn't stop eating even though I'm so stuffed already. This place is going to be my must - stop -by spot in Miami. Love it!!!!

Craving good soup. I searched online for good soup and this place came up. I got the roasted duck and wonton soup noodle. The soup was good. The duck was DELICIOUS. The wonton was also good with really tasty shrimp inside. I did not like the type of noodles they used but perhaps that's how noodle soups are made in China. I would definitely go back. :)

Love this place! Great food, excellent service, clean! Even if you read the menu, and may think you know what you want to order, the servers always have a better suggestion, as if they read your aura and it tells them what your body wants to eat!

This place is amazing. My grandfather comes here at least once a week and decided to invite us along. Now we are there at least once a month, even though we live farther away in Broward. EVERYTHING tastes great! We always go with a group, so we've tried almost everything on the menu. All of their veggies are surprisingly delicious, and the Singapore noodles are by far my favorite dish. The staff is friendly and the service is impeccable. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good Chinese meal.

I've been twice and both times the food was very good. The shrimp chow mein and beef and broccoli, chicken wings (though I'd prefer a whole wing) and egg rolls are very, very good. Prices are a little high, though.

I think I may have found my Chinese food spot for S.FL finally. I'm about to eat some more food right meow so i'LL let y'all know in a few but I swung thru this spot again after having a good 1st experience. They got REAL & take out style Chinese food in this joint. 1st time, I got the Szechuan Beef XXX-Tra Spicy. They don't play. I think may have an ulcer from it but in a good way as I'm back to have more. Ju Hurd?!

One of the best and authentic Chinese place in Miami! I had the general Tao chicken and the pot stickers for dinner. The service is friendly and fast and you will not be disappointed. Last time we came my friend got in an argument with the clerk about a tip and she made a nasty comment about ordering out because it would be better for everyone. How rude! The food is what I keep coming back for so 5 stars for that!

My favorite Chinese restaurant within driving distance. The wonton (Hong Kong-style) soup is excellent. Tasty broth, fresh cabbage and light dumplings with excellent filling. The fried rice is great as are the BBQ ribs. Actually, every dish we've had hasn't disappointed and tasted fresh. Nothing is overly greasy like I've found in other Chinese restaurants in the NMB area. Very good service. Only downside is they do not deliver to our area and it's a tad over priced.

Who would have thought Miami would have great Chinese food? Well, I didn't! And the bathrooms are clean and renovated. :) I honestly feel like everything here is good. Peking duck with bao, sweet & sour pork, fried rice, congee, it's all good! They have lunch/dinner combos, which comes with an egg roll, fried rice, and an entree. That's my go-to for take-out for one. Service ranges from average to good, but it's the food that you're really here for. The restaurant is rarely empty and always has Chinese diners, which are always good signs. Definitely recommend this place.

Literally the most authentic and best tasting Chinese food in miami. As a transplanted New Yorker, I was at a loss until stumbling upon this place. Dishes not to be missed include, salt and pepper shrimp, clams with black bean sauce and the orange beef.

We finally found a good Chinese restaurant in Miami! We went on Sunday evening around 6:30pm and there was plenty of parking. It's right next to the Bejing Mart, which is a great little Asian market too. Being from California, I was really missing real Chinese food - especially the steamed chicken with ginger garlic sauce. I didn't see it on the menu, but I asked our server and he said they can make it! So we ordered a half of a chicken for $14. The ginger sauce is house made and sooooo amazingly good. Very addictive too. We actually ordered a pint of the sauce to go for $6. We'll eat it with rotisserie chicken or even just plain over rice. We also ordered Salt & Pepper Shrimp, which was very lightly breaded, crispy and the shrimp was cooked nicely. We could get it with the shells on or off. We like it without the shells so it was nice to have the option. I prefer fresh garlic over the dried garlic crunchies though. Overall, it was pretty good, but at $17, I'm not sure if we'll get it again. And finally we ordered the Soy Sauce Noodles for $12. They were the best! I love the thin, al dente style pan fried noodles. They seem almost crispy in places. The veggies that were stir fried in were perfectly cooked and so flavorful. I have to get this every time we eat here. And maybe get one order to go too! The service was great. Everyone was super friendly and they were very accommodating to anything we wanted. I love that the whole staff was Chinese, so you know the food going to be authentic. They were even hand making wontons at one of the tables. The gal who was making them said that everything is made fresh. We will definitely be back soon!

Food- Delicious dumpling soup. Great bbq pork with fried rice , and an egg roll (all of this for just $13.00) ! Amazing! Lots of quantity, one combo is great for two people. They have their fish/lobster/crabs fresh out of the water from a tank (literally in the entrance right when go inside) Service- The only thing is there were only two waiters serving everybody in the restaurant, I had to wait too long for a cup of water. So I gave up on ordering different types of sauces for my food. Atmosphere- Didn't like how dark it is inside, no vibrant colors or much lightning. Another thing is how their only entrance is kinda of a back door. Overall, I will def come back to try their seafood and desserts.

I love their BBQ meat and rice platter here. For $10 you can eat a delicious and big meal. I will definitely come back again! I love there is an Asian mark right next to it.

I stopped by because I had a taste for some good Chinese food. Well, I couldn't decide what I wanted, so I looked around the room at what others were eating and decided on the Duck & BBQ Pork soup, along with some pan fried pot stickers. I couldn't have mad a better choice! The post stickers were great, and they were enhanced by the ponzu sauce. The soup was incredibly tasty with some of the most incredible duck I have ever had. The flavor was like something out of a movie. That's right, it was that good, the perfect combination of salt and natural flavors of the duck and pork. The vegetables were fresh. I'm not sure what they were, but it was green like a think broccoli stalk with a leafy section. The noodle were ramen type, and firm in consistency. I enjoyed the leftover later on in the evening, and it was just as good.

After a week in the Bahamas with no Chinese food in sight my family and I were all going through withdrawals. I found this place on Yelp and drove 15 miles to get a good Chinese meal before heading off to Key West. The place is a small but the food was very good. There were plenty of regulars when we went for lunch yesterday. We ordered the following some of which were not on the menu Steam Tilapia 5/5 excellent fresh just came from the live tanks Hot & Sour Soup 4/5 good with plenty of ingredients Lotus Root w/ King Mushrooms 5/5 thinly slices lotus root Jelly fish with Shredded duck 5/5 lightly dressed Silver fish w/ Chinese Chives 4/5 silver fish was good very little Chinese Chives. To go munchies roast pork for the road. 4/5 Great little find in Miami. Decor needs a little work. Fresh fish and crabs in live tanks.

Don't let looks deceive you. This place looks terrible on the outside but their food is fresh and delicious. This is 1 of the 2 places I'll ever get Chinese food in Miami. My favorite is the Cantonese style rice noodles.

South FL! Attention!! This is one of the best Chinese joints south of Broward County. Trust me, you will not find another like this one. Whether you're looking for authentic Chinese or Americanized Chinese, King Palace serves up both. For the ones that are looking for Authentic Chinese food, they offer Cantonese style cooking that includes Chinese Style BBQ. The BBQ- Sweet and red. BBQ'd to perfection. Whole suckling pigs daily: depending on which part of the pig gets chopped up, you'll get more or less fat, but every single piece you can see the layering of the meat and fat, skin roasted to a nice crisp. The meat is tender and juicy, well seasoned. Roasted ducks: Juicy and fatty, just how it is suppose to be. Well marinated prior to roasting to the perfect color of deep brown with a glistening shine to them. Meaty and tender along side of hoisin sauce. Roast pork: This is by far my favorite. They sure know how to cook Chinese BBQ pork. It has the right consistency in marinade. That deep bright red, with the sweetness that is perfection to every bite. The pork is tender and sliced and when layered over their soft white rice, I can't ask for anything else! The stir fried dishes are expertly crafted on a hot wok. The chef definitely has seasoned his wok well. Every dish that comes out definitely carries on the chef's legacy, dish after dish. You know a well seasoned stir fried dish as soon as it hits the table. The aromas hit your nostrils like Mike Tyson just swung at you at his prime! If you are Chinese, you know exactly what I mean. Your parents are always looking for good "wok-hei," a well-seasoned wok that emits its own aromas...

Before I came to King Palace, I hadn't had Chinese food since moving away from Chicago in April of 2012. It wasn't for a lack of interest. I really enjoy Chinese food and it had been a regular staple of my diet since college. My issue was access and quality. Y'see, despite even Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic having a real, bona fide Chinatown, Miami did not. As in, did/does not exist. As in, nothing. So, not wanting to continue to the parade of lackluster Chinese food experiences, I stopped looking. And then I was told to go north. Miami may not have a Chinatown but North Miami Beach did. Sorta. That was good enough for me. Personal affairs found me up that way and, to my surprise, the same road I traveled to get my comic book on also housed a variety of Chinese restaurants with large groups of Chinese folks getting down to some serious eating. Finally. I didn't waste any time. I dove right in: green tea (hot) in the never-ending pot, hot & sour soup, bbq roast pork and roast duck, clams with black bean sauce, and broccoli with oyster sauce. What? Don't look at me like that! It had been nearly two years since I'd had this food. I was going all in. Everything tasted fantastic. Seriously. The hot & sour soup was just sour enough with a nice kick. The duck was ridiculous (my favorite bird to eat). My friend and i almost fought over the clams and rather than being an afterthought, the broccoli stood on its own. Our server was nice enough. He wasn't interested in my life story and he kept it moving but he was by no means rude. Again, in an authentic Chinese restaurant, I expect to be almost ignored. Authentic!

Love the black bean lobster dish... it's is awesome... and I love the authentic feel... they could remodel the restaurant which would make it more appealing...but the food is great... and I love the hot tea before eating... great customer service

A restaurant that I so badly wanted to love, but the food just couldn't quite get there. I saw enough to intrigue me that I'll be looking to come back and try different dishes. Here's where we landed on each dish we tried: - King mushrooms and lotus - one of the best vegetable dishes I have eaten at a Chinese restaurant. I'd absolutely order it again. Great flavors and textures. - Duck tongue with spicy sauce - this was our "reach" dish. It was too much of a reach. The cartilage inside the tongues was in many instances too hard to be chewed and swallowed and had to be spit out. I also found the tongue to have a too-metallic, almost coppery taste. Still, the spicy sauce and the vegetables in the dish were great, and it was nice to have the opportunity to try something I'd never eaten before. On balance, I'd avoid the dish in the future. - Roast duck -- quite fatty, and with little meat on the bone. What meat there was had good flavor. Would not bother ordering again. - BBQ roast pork - better than average flavor, and excellent meat quality. A good dish, marred by the fact that it was served only a bit warm, and not hot. - Salt and pepper squid -- Really great, though I seemed to like this better than others at the table did. Perfectly cooked squid. - Noodles with shredded duck were fantastic. A light but satisfying dish packed with flavor and perfectly balanced. There's no atmosphere to speak of, but the service was very friendly. We'll see if we can find a better combination of dishes in the future.

It is always great to find an authentic and delicious chinese restaurant and I consider myself lucky for discovering this fine establishment. My family and I enjoy every time we try something new on the menu. The staff is great during service and they always accommodate us very nicely when we pick up, for take out. I recommend this to anyone passing through and especially those living in the North Miami Beach areas.

This is, I think it is fair to say, easily the best takeout Chinese food I have had in South Florida. The general tso's chicken actually tastes like general tso's chicken! The fried rice is good too. A tad on the pricey side, but worth it in my estimation for halfway decent Chinese. Certainly not the best Chinese food I've ever had, but it is fresh, the dishes are close to what I have had in other cities, and the meat is clearly identifiable as the animal it is supposed to be associated with. These things alone make this place better than 95% of the Chinese places in the Miami metro area. I will be returning!

Even as an herbivore/ pescetarian (they don't have a label for me yet, maybe hescetarian?) I can appreciate the awesomeness of this meat lover heaven. Upon walking in, you see crispy brown roasted ducks hanging from the ceiling and fish swimming in the tank, and no, that aquarium ain't for decoration. Takes me back to my trip to Beijing. Service is friendly, the staff speaks perfect English and is happy to make recommendations, as the menu is quite expansive, including common Chinese fare, BBQ platter combinations (they let you mix and match to your heart's desire) and more adventurous choices, like tripe or frog legs. Your meal comes with a complimentary giant pot of hot green tea, and I mean the good stuff, not bitter tasting. Reservations seem to be a good idea, as the place was packed Friday night. A mix of locals, including Chinese families. Giant TV playing Food Network, yay no sports channel for a change. Good entertainment if you dine alone or your date runs out of interesting things to talk about. The food comes out fast and piping hot. I love the fact that they offer brown rice for only $1.50 extra. The waiter recommended the family style tofu, which was a great. Huge platter of crispy fried tofu and tender-crisp assorted vegetables with a garlicky brown sauce. Not greasy, great flavor and light. The best part? I took home almost half, they even offered me a side of steamed rice to go and the whole meal only set me back $14. Even if you don't live in this area, this place is worth the drive. Not too many places serve authentic Beijing duck in Miami, and this would be a good place to try it.

I had the roast duck on rice. It was delicious! This restaurant has good service, nice atmosphere, delicious authentic Chinese food, and a good portion of food for your dollar. The tea was very good as well. This will probably be a regular place for me.

It's always a good sign when the menu is in English and Chinese and there are plenty of Chinese patrons. This place delivers tasty flavors, good pricing and the BBQ is seriously delicious. It's a twenty minute drive from my house but if I'm feeling like Chinese then it's more than worth the drive. Certainly closer than Tropical Chinese or Kon Chau on Bird Road. It only took more than a decade but I've finally found Chinese food in Miami that doesn't offend my New York sensibilities. Thank goodness!

this is an average Chinese food restaurant. The food I ordered clearly was made yesterday or even before that so the flavor is really weird. I wanted to give it 2 stars, but considering this is in Florida, I will settle for average.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
